Ooredoo Fun Run 2024 brings colour and excitement to Hulhumalé

The Ooredoo Fun Run 2024, hailed as the largest and happiest race in the Maldives, took place yesterday, with over 6,500 participants braving heavy rain to join in the vibrant event.
Despite the weather, the 5-kilometre race began as scheduled at 4:30 p.m. from Hulhumalé Central Park.
The event was inaugurated by Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef, who expressed his appreciation for the event’s ability to bring joy to participants of all ages while promoting fitness and community engagement.

Participants encountered fun stations at every kilometre featuring colour splash and obstacle courses. The event also featured a foam party, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere.
Joining the run were Ooredoo Maldives’ Managing Director and CEO Khalid al-Hamadi, senior officials, and several Government ministers, showcasing widespread support for the initiative.
During the event, Ooredoo announced that the next Fun Run will be held in Fuvahmulah City in 2025, presenting a commemorative memento to the City’s mayor.

A lucky draw added to the excitement, with two winners selected from those who registered for the Fun Run and downloaded the GoPlay app. Additionally, two more winners were chosen from a lucky draw among participants, receiving exclusive packages from the Footrest.
The Ooredoo Fun Run 2024 celebrated fitness, unity, and community spirit, leaving participants and organisers excited for its next chapter.
