More than 80 applications have been received so far for participation in Maldives Expo 2026, the Business Center Corporation (BCC) has said.
Speaking on preparations for the event, BCC’s Chief Strategic Officer Mariyam Nashaa said last year’s expo drew strong public interest and expressed confidence that this year’s edition will see a similar response.
“Looking at last year’s expo, more than 2,500 products were showcased by 250 participants. Applications for this year’s expo opened on the 8th of this month, and we have already received 80 applications. This indicates continued strong public interest in the event,” Nashaa said.
The expo is being organised by BCC under the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade.
Applications are currently open through the official Maldives Expo portal, while participation guidelines have been published in the Government Gazette.
Last year’s expo, held at Hulhumalé Central Park, was the largest event of its kind held in the Maldives. The expo aims to promote local entrepreneurship and provide a platform for Maldivian creators and businesses to market their products.
The 2025 edition featured a wide range of activities and was organised across five districts, with participation from both local exhibitors and international parties.
