His Royal Highness Prince Dr Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud attended the Maldives' 61st Independence Day celebrations on Sunday night as the Guest of Honour, representing Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed received Pr Dr Mansour upon his arrival to the ceremony at Republic Square, which featured a military display, cultural performances and a 21-gun salute by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). Bangladesh's Foreign Minister, Dr Khalilur Rahman, attended as the Government's Special Guest alongside senior State officials and other foreign dignitaries.
