Lecturer Mohamed Latheef, along with students Ahmed Liwaz and Mohamed Naseem from Maldives Polytechnic, achieved a silver medal at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Worker Skills Contest held in Beijing and Qingdao, China.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development shared their congratulations via X, celebrating Maldives Polytechnic's historic achievement and applauding their representation of the Maldives on the international stage.

The Third Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Worker Skills Contest took place in Qingdao, China, from December 16 to 20, 2024. The event brought together skilled workers from SCO member states, observer countries, and dialogue partners, serving as a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration. Participants from different countries competed across three specialised skill programmes and showcased their expertise.
