The Chinese Embassy has contributed air conditioners to support the Maldivian Ministry of Education’s 'Cool School' initiative, aiming to improve learning environments in government schools.

The donation was presented by Chinese Ambassador Wang Lixin to Minister Ismail Shafiu. The AC's will initially be installed at the Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Hulhumale', enhancing comfort for students and supporting a conducive learning atmosphere.

The 'Cool School' project, initiated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu during his recent visit to the atolls, focuses on equipping all government schools across the Maldives with air conditioning within two years.

Minister Shafiu previously highlighted the Government's commitment to creating cooler, more comfortable study environments in schools nationwide as part of this initiative.
