President Dr Mohamed Muizzu  has signed the Condolence Book at the Indian High Commission in Male', following the passing of former Indian Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, on December 26, 2024.

In his message, President Dr Muizzu hailed Dr Singh as a distinguished statesman, reflecting on his significant contributions to India’s political and economic landscape.

The President also recalled Dr Singh’s historic visit to the Maldives in November 2011, a milestone that strengthened the enduring relationship between the two nations.

Conveying heartfelt sympathies to Dr Singh’s family, the government, and the people of India, President Dr Muizzu expressed the condolences of the Maldivian Government and its citizens.
