FENAKA’s new MD holds first meeting with Environment Minister

The newly appointed Managing Director of FENAKA Corporation, Mohamed Najah, held his inaugural meeting with the Minister for Climate Change, Environment, and Energy, Thoriq Ibrahim.
The meeting, centred on enhancing service delivery, took place earlier this week and is a significant step in FENAKA’s efforts to improve public utilities across the Maldives.
Discussions focused on enhancing FENAKA’s operations in providing electricity and water services to islands nationwide. Minister Thoriq emphasised the vital role FENAKA plays in delivering essential services and reiterated the Government’s commitment to expanding and improving their quality.
Najah expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting that support from the Ministry could greatly enhance the efficiency and reach of FENAKA’s services. The discussion also covered ongoing projects, future initiatives, and strategies to strengthen coordination between FENAKA and the ministry.
The Ministry of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy described the meeting as a key milestone in fostering collaboration between Government agencies to enhance public services.
