The Maldives Police Service has successfully recovered stolen items worth MVR 2 million and returned them to their rightful owner within 24 hours of the theft.

The robbery occurred on 31 December 2024, at a residence in the Galolhu district of Malé.

The stolen items included foreign currency, cameras and lenses, smartphones, an Apple MacBook, a Bluetooth speaker, and charging cables.

The swift recovery was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the Galolhu Police, the Criminal Investigation Department, and the Response and Patrol teams.
