Three individuals arrested for possession of alcohol in Malé on New Year’s Eve during a special police operation have been granted conditional bail by the Criminal Court.

The suspects, identified as Ahmed Aanish (22) of Seenu Hulhudhoo Chandaneege, Ibrahim Akmal Abdul Sattar (19) of Happydream, and Ismail Maaheen Musthafa (26) of Galolhu Rainbow, were detained in connection with alleged illegal activities, police stated. According to authorities, the trio was accused of illegally transporting, carrying, using, and selling alcohol.

The suspects were presented before the court, which granted them bail under specific conditions. The details of these conditions have not been disclosed. Police confirmed that the investigation into the matter is ongoing, despite the release of the suspects.
