Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel has departed on his first official visit to India since assuming office in September 2024.

The visit comes at the invitation of the Minister of External Affairs of India, S. Jaishankar, and aims to strengthen bilateral relations while exploring opportunities for collaboration across various sectors.

In a statement shared on his official X account, Minister Dr Khaleel expressed his anticipation to deepen and enhance the longstanding partnership between the two countries and address key mutual priorities.

This visit follows President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's official trip to India in October 2024, during which both nations engaged in productive talks to advance bilateral ties.
