At the World Travel Market in London, Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, unveiled plans for long-haul operations with the introduction of its first wide-body Airbus A330-200. This government-supported expansion aims to bolster Maldives tourism by connecting the country directly to distant global destinations. Starting in early 2025, Maldivian will launch new routes to major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu.
