President Dr Mohamed Muizzu arrived in K. Gulhi today, marking his first island visit of 2025 as part of the ongoing nationwide local council engagement initiative.

President Dr Muizzu, accompanied by ministers and senior Government officials, is set to meet with the Gulhi Island Council and the Women's Development Committee to discuss development priorities for the island community.

The visit forms part of the President's broader programme to engage with local councils across the country's atolls, islands, and cities throughout 2025, an initiative which started in 2024. The President will assess community needs and consult with residents on development projects during his stay.

The delegation will focus on gathering first-hand insights into local conditions and establishing project priorities based on community feedback.
