Minister of Defence Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon is scheduled to visit India this week from the seventh to the eighth of this month.

This is Minister Ghassan’s first trip to India since taking office as Defense Minister. During this trip, security-related discussions between the two countries will take place.

As Minister Ghassan heads to India, Foreign Minister Dr Abdullah Khaleel visited India last week. During his three-day official visit to India, he met with India's External Affairs Minister Dr Subramaniam Jaishankar. They also signed an agreement with India to implement the second phase of High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDP) in the Maldives.
