The High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives, Vice Admiral (Retired) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, formally presented his letters of credence to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at a ceremony at the President's Office.

Vice Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi received a traditional welcome as he was escorted from Republic Square to the President’s Office in a cultural procession known as Haiykolhu.

During the meeting following the credential presentation, President Dr Muizzu welcomed the High Commissioner and expressed his commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries.

Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in key areas, including climate change, health, tourism, and trade.

The High Commissioner also took the opportunity to commend President Dr Muizzu and the Maldives for their unwavering support for the people of Palestine.
