Minister Dr Shaheem departs to Saudi Arabia on official visit

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has departed to Saudi Arabia following his address to scholars at the Muslim World League seminar in Islamabad, Pakistan.

According to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Minister Dr Shaheem is travelling to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr Tawfeeq Al-Rabiah.

During his visit, the Maldives and Saudi Arabia are set to sign the annual Hajj Agreement, a key arrangement between the two nations aimed at facilitating pilgrim services.

The ministry also confirmed that Minister Dr Shaheem will participate in the 1446 Hajj Exhibition, organised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, which highlights ongoing efforts to enhance the Hajj experience for pilgrims. Minister Dr Shaheem noted that the Saudi government is actively collaborating with Islamic countries to improve Hajj arrangements.
