A Maldivian police officer is participating in the "Professional Diploma in Policing Innovation and Leadership," an internationally recognised training programme held in Dubai.

Organised by Dubai Police in collaboration with the Rochester Institute of Technology, the course runs from January 13, to May 10, 2025.

Constable Aminath Mushrifa, representing the Maldives Police Service (MPS), is the first Maldivian officer to join this initiative.. The programme is designed to enhance policing techniques, leadership skills, and innovative approaches to law enforcement.

Participants will engage in eight academic modules and five tactical modules. Key academic topics include community-focused policing, digital transformation, leadership innovation, and smart city law enforcement. The tactical modules cover crucial areas such as firearm training, crisis negotiation, and incident management.
