Maldives Immigration has detained four migrant workers over visa violations.

The individuals were apprehended during a late-night raid on an accommodation block in Male’, where a significant number of migrant workers reside.

According to immigration sources, the detained individuals did not possess valid visas. The raid was part of an expanded operation aimed at identifying undocumented workers and mitigating concerns over public health linked to overcrowded living conditions in certain areas.
