The President of Estonian Parliament "Riigikogu", Lauri Hussar hosted President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at a luncheon in his honour, marking a key moment in strengthening diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Estonia.

President Dr Muizzu and President Hussar at the Riigikogu, took an official photograph, following which the President signed the Visitor’s Book. Discussions during the luncheon focused on enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.

The President shared his vision to transform Maldives through digitalisation, focusing on improving public services. He identified several areas where collaboration with Estonia could be beneficial, emphasising the shared objectives of both countries. 

President Hussar shared Estonia’s own success story in digital transformation, including innovations like e-voting, highlighting how these advancements have revolutionised the country’s public sector.

The leaders also touched on broader global challenges, reaffirming their commitment to collaborating on international peace and security issues. They agreed on the importance of working together within multilateral platforms to promote global stability.
