Visit Maldives has announced an opportunity for tourism-related businesses to partner with Light Blue Environmental Consulting, a renowned for-profit social enterprise specialising in food waste prevention and sustainability.

The initiative aims to advance a zero food waste to landfill approach by integrating human-centred strategies with innovative technology.

Light Blue Environmental Consulting is a United Nations recognised firm with 11 years of experience in food waste reduction solutions. Through their main product, Food Intel Tech (FIT), and certification system, they help businesses track and reduce food waste, potentially saving up to 5 per cent in costs. Operating in 31 countries, they provide technology solutions, certification, and training programmes for the hospitality industry and development agencies.

Interested parties looking to collaborate with Light Blue Environmental Consulting on sustainable food waste reduction initiatives are invited to submit their expressions of interest to Visit Maldives via email ([email protected]) by 3 p.m. on January 26, 2025.
