Visit Maldives launches industry focus groups to shape tourism strategy

Visit Maldives has announced plans to conduct focus group meetings with key industry stakeholders to strengthen the nation's tourism promotion for 2025.

The initiative aims to maintain the Maldives' position as a premier destination through collaborative dialogue. The meetings will unite representatives from across the sector, including resorts, guesthouses, travel agents and liveaboard operators.

Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), highlighted that the sessions will explore opportunities in both established and emerging markets. The focus groups will target high-level decision-makers, including General Managers and Directors of Sales and Marketing, with each session lasting 90 minutes.

Key objectives include developing cost-effective marketing strategies, addressing industry challenges, and fostering innovative ideas to drive sustainable growth. The first meetings are set to commence next week.
