President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has emphasised that peace and progress in the Maldives can only be achieved when individuals respect the dignity and reputation of every citizen, regardless of political differences.

Speaking to residents of Dhidhdhoo during his visit to Haa Alif Atoll, the President expressed his vision for inclusive development, urging the people to move forward together in shaping the island’s future. He stressed that development remains with the island and its people, irrespective of political affiliations, and called on all citizens to adopt a positive mindset.

The President encouraged the nation to think collectively about the future, uphold their responsibilities as Muslims, and unite for the country's progress. He reaffirmed that all citizens are equal in his eyes and that there will be no discrimination in Government services.

While acknowledging the inevitability of differences in opinion, he assured that his Government upholds the constitutional rights of every citizen to the fullest extent.

President Dr Muizzu reiterated that he has not acted with a spirit of revenge and remains committed to ensuring peace in the country. He assured that political injustice will not be tolerated under his Administration.

The President also emphasised that the Maldives is founded on the principles of Islam, and its laws should be accepted by all. Every citizen has the right to engage in any activity not prohibited by law, while the Government remains bound by legal frameworks in all its actions. The President reaffirmed his Administration's commitment to continuing this approach in governance.
