The newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to the Maldives, Faisal Rasul Lodhi, has affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the development of the Maldivian agricultural industry.

The Ambassador made this statement during a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, Dr Maryam Mariya, where both sides explored potential areas of cooperation in agriculture.

Highlighting the importance of expanding agricultural capacity and ensuring food security in the Maldives, the Minister emphasised the need to develop skilled professionals in the field of agriculture.

She also discussed opportunities for training and technical assistance from Pakistan to build expertise within the sector. In response, the Ambassador reaffirmed Pakistan’s willingness to provide all possible support to enhance agricultural development in the Maldives.
