Dhiraagu recorded a net profit of MVR 945 million in the 2024 financial year, reflecting a 5.5 per cent increase from MVR 896 million in 2023, according to the company's recently released financial report.

The telecommunications provider continues to generate revenue primarily from mobile services, fixed-line, broadband internet, and enterprise operations. Financial data for 2024 indicates that revenue from mobile services reached MVR 1.5 billion, up from MVR 1.4 billion in the previous year.

Fixed broadband services also saw growth, contributing MVR 1.23 billion in revenue in 2024, compared to MVR 1.18 billion in 2023. With these figures, Dhiraagu's total revenue for the year amounted to MVR 2.8 billion, reflecting a 7.7 per cent rise from MVR 2.6 billion in the previous year.

Before tax deductions, Dhiraagu’s net profit stood at MVR 1.10 billion for 2024, marking a 4.8 per cent increase from the prior year. After tax deductions, the company recorded MVR 945 million in net profit for the full year.

In terms of quarterly performance, Dhiraagu reported MVR 710 million in revenue for the fourth quarter of the 2024 fiscal year, representing a 2.7 per cent increase from the MVR 691 million recorded in the third quarter. Net profit after tax for the fourth quarter stood at MVR 246 million, compared to MVR 241 million in the preceding quarter.
