President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is set to deliver his second Presidential Address at the People's Majlis tomorrow at 9:00 am, marking the start of this year's parliamentary session.

Mandated under Article 84 of the Maldivian Constitution, the Presidential Address will outline the state of the nation and the Government's strategic priorities for the coming year. Senior Government officials, the Chief Justice, members of the diplomatic corps, and other distinguished guests will attend.

This year's address has garnered public anticipation, following President Dr Muizzu's inaugural speech last year, where he outlined an ambitious agenda focused on national sovereignty, economic reform, and social development. During tomorrow's speech, the President is expected to outline transformative initiatives and practical actions aimed at driving tangible progress.

The Majlis Secretariat has confirmed that preparations for tomorrow's session are complete. The ceremonial proceedings will begin with the President and First Lady being welcomed by the Speaker of Parliament and their spouse. In the Majlis chamber, the Deputy Speaker, Parliamentary Group Leaders, and senior officials will receive the President, followed by the traditional presidential salute.
