The Ministry of Education has announced the opening of school transfer applications for students moving from one island to another for the upcoming academic year. 

According to the Ministry, the aim is to ensure that students are placed in their new schools well before the start of the academic year. Students who wish to transfer to a school in another island for the next academic term can now apply, with the option available until 6 March.

The Ministry outlined that the application process requires students to submit a request from their current school to the institution where they intend to transfer. These forms will be processed through the students' existing schools.

With the new academic year set to begin following the last ten days of Ramadan and the Eid-al-Fitr holidays, all necessary arrangements for student placements will be finalised by 15 March.

As schools are currently preparing for examinations, assessments, and student report forms, the education ministry has instructed that no transfers will be facilitated during the remainder of the current academic year.
