Seven new Magistrate Judges sworn in

Seven newly appointed Magistrate Judges have taken their oath of office, with the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) confirming their appointments in a circular issued on Thursday.
The Judges were formally sworn in and presented with their letters of appointment during the ceremony.
Among the appointments, Uza Shifna Ahmed Sodiq has been designated as the Chief Magistrate of Kaafu Atoll Maafushi Magistrate Court, while Uz Ahmed Shafee will serve as the Chief Magistrate of Laamu Atoll Maavah Magistrate Court. Uz Abdulla Jailam has been appointed to lead the Haa Alif Atoll Baarah Magistrate Court, and Uz Jinan Abdulla will assume the role of Chief Magistrate at Baa Atoll Kendhoo Magistrate Court. Additionally, Uz Ali Ismail has been assigned to the Kaafu Atoll Kaashidhoo Magistrate Court, Uz Ismail Mahir to the Baa Atoll Thulhaadhoo Magistrate Court, and Uz Ahmed Auf Abdul Samad to the Gaafu Dhaalu Gadhdhoo Magistrate Court.
The decision to appoint them was made by the Commission on December 18, 2024.
