Maldives national men’s and women’s teams have earned bronze medals in the team events at the 6th Carrom World Cup.

The event was organised by the International Carrom Federation (ICF) with the support of the US Carrom Association (USCA) held in San Francisco Bay Area, California.

In a strong performance, the men’s team clinched a bronze medal, showcasing their skills against top international opponents. The women’s team also secured a bronze after a victory over the tournament's host country, the United States.

This year’s Carrom World Cup features multiple categories, including open singles, open doubles, team events, and Swiss events offering a robust platform for competition among global players.

The Maldives' success at the World Cup follows their achievements earlier this year at the 6th Asian Carrom Championships held in Malé, where the women’s team also won bronze, and the men’s team secured silver.

The results highlight the growing prowess of Maldivian carrom players on the international stage, reinforcing their status as strong contenders in the sport.
