Speaking at the inauguration of Dharumavantha Hospital as a tertiary-level hospital, Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim stated that the next four years will be a transformative chapter in the healthcare system.

The Minister said that although the construction of Dharumavantha Hospital was completed in 2018, the underutilisation until now reflects a missed opportunity, highlighting the efforts made by the current Government in advancing the healthcare sector.

The Minister further emphasised that, over the past 52 weeks, under the leadership of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the Government has been dedicated to addressing the needs of the people by strengthening and expanding the healthcare system. This expansion goes beyond Malé to include urban centres, while also implementing proactive measures to promote a healthier population.

The ceremony held at Dharumavantha Hospital, was attended by senior Government officials and professionals in the healthcare industry.
