The Ministry of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy has announced that applications for the 2025 High Seas Youth Ambassador Programme are open.

EarthEcho International and the High Seas Alliance are seeking young ocean advocates for their program which is open to participants aged 17-22 from Tanzania, Zambia, Maldives, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.

This 12-month program focuses on protecting our oceans and marine life from climate change impacts. The goal is to empower young leaders who are passionate about preserving these crucial but often overlooked ecosystems.

The initiative not only allows for participants to make a step towards meaningful change but also offers a paid experience while doing so. Throughout the programme, participants will interact with like-minded individuals and they will also be provided with the necessary tools, training, as well as resources to enable them to create unique campaigns that advocate for the High Seas Treaty ratification.

For further details regarding the programme as well as the application process, interested individuals can visit EarthEcho International's official website.
