President Dr Muizzu wishes prosperity for Brunei on National Day

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his warmest felicitations to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Government, and the people of Brunei Darussalam on the occasion of their National Day.

In his message, President Dr Muizzu shed light on the enduring diplomatic ties between the Maldives and Brunei Darussalam, highlighting the strong and cordial relations that have united the two nations for decades.

He reaffirmed the Government's commitment to further strengthening cooperation and fostering deeper ties of friendship in the years ahead.

The President also conveyed his personal best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, expressing hope for his continued good health and well-being. Furthermore, he extended his wishes for the sustained progress and prosperity of the people of Brunei Darussalam.

The Maldives and Brunei Darussalam formally established diplomatic relations on March 31, 1984, marking the beginning of a longstanding partnership based on shared values and mutual respect.

Over the years, both nations have maintained close collaboration in various sectors, reinforcing their commitment to regional cooperation and development.
