The Department of National Registration (DNR) has announced that ID cards will be issued on three specific days—23rd, 25th, and 27th March—during the last ten days of Ramadan.
As per the official notification, the issuance of ration cards, facilitated through the QB numbering system, will continue from 9:15 AM to 11:30 AM throughout Ramadan. A total of 150 numbers will be allocated daily via this system.
In keeping with previous years, the department will remain closed for the last ten days of Ramadan, with the exception of the designated issuance dates. On these days, the QB system will continue to allocate 150 numbers per day for ID card issuance.
For urgent cases, individuals may contact the department at 7280368 for further assistance.
Additionally, the DNR has implemented a mandatory procedure for ID card collection. If the cardholder is unable to collect their ID card in person, they must submit a formal authorisation letter permitting another individual to collect the card on their behalf.
According to the official Ramadan calendar, the first day of fasting this year falls on March 1. During the Holy Month, government offices will operate from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
