A 24-year-old man has lost his life following an accident on Addu Hankede Bridge this morning.

The incident was reported to the authorities at 9:49 a.m. Police stated that the accident took place when a motorcycle, travelling at high speed from Maradhoo to Hithadhoo, lost control while on the bridge. The vehicle reportedly collided with the bridge fence after veering off course.

The victim has been identified as Leewan Abdul Sattar, Galolhu Night Dream, Kaafu Male’. Emergency responders attended the scene, but he succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine further details surrounding the accident.
