The Maldives Zakat House has announced that the Fitr Zakat collection will commence from the first day of Ramadan, with options available for both online and in-person payments.

The Government has introduced an online payment system to facilitate ease of transactions.

For those unable or unwilling to use online payment methods, provisions have been made for in-person payments and special arrangements have also been established for senior citizens. With the Government declaring the last ten days of Ramadan as public holidays, the Zakat House has released details for over-the-counter collections.
