The Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare (MAAW) successfully established a fully equipped quarantine facility within just 16 hours of receiving the Olhu Hiyaa facility.

This rapid transformation ensured that the space was ready to accommodate cats in need, reinforcing a steadfast commitment to animal welfare.

Currently, 15 cats have been transferred to the facility, where they are receiving the necessary care and supervision. MAAW sets up quarantine facility at Olhu Hiyaa within 16 hours of taking charge

This achievement was made possible through the collective efforts of a dedicated task force, working in close collaboration with the NGO Feline Welfare Organization. Their expertise, dedication, and teamwork were key to the timely and successful completion of this initiative.
