Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced revised timings for its ferry and bus services during the month of Ramadan to better accommodate public needs.

Bus services from the Greater Malé Region to Hulhumalé Phase 1, as well as from Malé to Hulhumalé Phase 2, will commence at 7:00 a.m. The services will be halted for iftar and commence again at 7:20 p.m. Additionally, bus services operating on the Orchid, Ameenee, and Sosun routes will also start from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m and will resume at 9:00 p.m until midnight.

Along with changes to bus services, ferry schedules have also been adjusted for Ramadan. MTCC operates ferry services across 68 routes, divided into six zones within 20 atolls, playing a crucial role in transporting essential goods and services. The company has structured the ferry trips during Ramadan to ensure maximum convenience for the public. One of the major changes introduced is that the last journey on each route will be completed before sunrise, and RTL ferry services will not operate on Fridays throughout Ramadan.
