The Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) has issued a public alert on a cooking sauce that fails to declare eggs as an allergen, posing a potential health risk to consumers with egg allergies.

The product, "MastersFoods Creamy Chicken & Mushroom Cooking Sauce" contains eggs as an ingredient but omits this information from its allergen label, according to an MFDA press release.

Mars Australia Pty Ltd, the manufacturer based in Wyong, NSW, has initiated the product's withdrawal from the market. The Maldives was notified through the International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN), a global network of food safety authorities.

The recall specifically affects 490-gram packages with barcode 9310012042006 and the following expiration dates:
