Police have rescued a man who fell into the sea from a bridge connecting Hulhumalé Phase 1 and Phase 2, in the early hours of Thursday.

According to police, the incident was reported at 5:42 am, prompting two uniformed officers to dive into the sea and successfully rescue the man. He was taken to Hulhumalé Hospital at 6:13 am, where he is reported to be in good condition.

Authorities have not disclosed further details about how the man fell but confirmed that an investigation is underway.
