The Maldives Transport and Construction Company (MTCC) is opening the Hulhumale and Henveiru ferry terminals for launch ferry operations, aiming to improve services for island residents travelling to Male’.

This move comes in response to growing concerns over the lack of adequate terminal facilities as the number of launch ferries between Male’ and the atolls continues to rise. Currently, ferries operate from the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) area and outside the Bank of Maldives (BML), causing congestion.

MTCC confirmed that the decision is being carried out under the direct guidance of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

Operators interested in using these terminals must submit their interest via email to [email protected] before 2:00 pm on the 10th of this month.
