The distribution of canned tuna under the Roadha Hadhiyaa programme will continue at MIFCO stores starting March 11, as a significant number of households in Malé City have already received their allocation.

According to Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, a total of 48,000 households in Malé have been provided with canned tuna as part of the Government’s Roadha Hadhiyaa programme.

Currently, the distribution is being carried out at 13 centres across Malé City through a special system.

Minister Adam Shareef stated that the distribution will continue at these centres on Sunday night and Monday, following the same schedule. However, from March 11, the canned tuna will be available at MIFCO’s four shops in Malé and Hulhumalé during regular store hours.

Although the distribution centres will be phased out, the process will remain unchanged, with recipients continuing to collect their allocations through the online token system. The Minister assured that the distribution will continue until all eligible households have received their canned tuna.
