The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has formally issued a public appeal for assistance in locating an individual wanted in connection with an ongoing criminal case.

The individual, identified as Ali Nazeer, Daftar No. 14057, Malé, aged 42, is being sought following a directive from the Criminal Court.

The court had previously summoned him to appear in person; however, he failed to comply with the order. As a result, the authorities have been instructed to take him into custody and ensure his appearance before the court. Consequently, the court has ruled that he be placed under judicial custody until 11:00 am on March 17, 2025, to facilitate his mandatory production before the court.

The Maldives Police Service urges any individual with relevant information regarding Ali Nazeer’s whereabouts to come forward. Those who can provide assistance are requested to contact the police custodial department at 9991442.
