The Government has distributed 110,127 cases of canned tuna as part of the Roadha Hadhiyaa programme.

Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, announced in a post on X that 49,416 households in Malé City and 60,711 households in the atolls have each received one case of canned tuna as part of the distribution.

Each case contains 48 cans of 180 grams of tuna, in line with the Government’s decision to provide canned tuna as part of this year’s Roadha Hadhiyaa initiative.

The move was first announced by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu during a ceremony marking the one-year anniversary of the Administration.

Last year, the Roadha Hadhiyaa programme provided each household with 10 kilograms of basmati rice and 10 kilograms of flour.

Additionally, similar to last year, the Government is also offering electricity bill discounts to households during Ramadan.
