Malé City Council accepts Deputy Mayor Nareesh’s resignation

The Malé City Council has officially accepted the resignation of Deputy Mayor Ahmed Nareesh and expressed gratitude for his contributions during his tenure.

In a letter acknowledging his resignation, Mayor Adam Azim thanked Nareesh for his dedicated service and hard work as Deputy Mayor. He commended him for being a responsible leader, describing him as open-minded, approachable, and receptive to ideas and consultation.

In his resignation letter, Nareesh expressed gratitude to the people of Central Maafannu for their trust and support during the 2021 local council elections. He also extended appreciation to his campaign team for their efforts.

Reflecting on his tenure, Nareesh stated that his time in Malé City Council had been among the most fulfilling experiences of his career. He noted that the role allowed him to gain valuable experiences across different fields, shaping his professional and personal growth.

Additionally, Nareesh thanked all council members for their closeness and teamwork during his time in office.
