Maldives Immigration has detained three foreigners for engaging in an illegal food trade operation in Malé.

In a statement posted on its official X account, Immigration reported that a tip-off from Immigration Watch on March 5 revealed that M. Harmony was being used for online food preparation and delivery from 9 pm to 2 am.

Following this report, authorities searched the residence and found three individuals working outside the scope of their permits, leading to their detention.

The Government has been actively addressing the issue of illegal immigration, with over 6,000 undocumented foreigners deported so far.

Immigration has also intensified its enforcement operations, conducting frequent raids to track down individuals working without proper documentation, targeting both workplaces and residences.
