A group of 357 Maldivian pilgrims, who travelled to Saudi Arabia for the final 15 days of Ramadan under the Hajj Corporation’s supervision, have successfully completed their first Umrah.

According to the Hajj Corporation, all pilgrims are in good health and fulfilling their religious obligations as planned. The group arrived in Mecca at approximately 1:30 pm on Saturday and was accommodated at the Al-Balad al-Tayeb Ajyad Hotel, a facility frequently utilised by Hajj Corporation pilgrims due to its proximity to Masjid al-Haram, which is accessible within  ten-minutes

Following the completion of administrative formalities, the pilgrims proceeded to the Masjid al-Haram in the afternoon to perform Umrah. The journey was undertaken in eight designated groups, ensuring an organised and spiritually enriching experience.

Currently, 220 Maldivians are in Saudi Arabia under the Hajj Corporation’s guidance for the full duration of the Ramadan Umrah pilgrimage.

The pilgrims undertaking Umrah on the final 15 days will remain in Mecca for an additional two days before departing for Madinah on the 18th day.

As part of the Hajj Corporation’s Umrah programme, special visits to significant religious sites in both Mecca and Madinah have been arranged. Furthermore, a series of religious programmes will be conducted to enhance the spiritual journey of the pilgrims.
