The Maldives Police Service has issued an announcement for the second time, seeking a suspect in a theft case under investigation by the Hulhumalé Phase 2 Police Station.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Mohamed Thibyaan Shaheen from Malé City.

In a post on X, police urged anyone with information about Thibyaan’s whereabouts to contact the Hulhumalé Phase 2 Police Investigation Unit at 9393351.

Authorities had previously issued a similar announcement regarding him.

The renewed search comes as police statistics show a decline in reported theft cases in February.
