Maldives Immigration, in collaboration with the Maldives Police Service, has arrested three foreign women for alleged involvement in an illicit business while residing in the country on work visas.

According to Maldives Immigration, two of the individuals were Vietnamese, while the third was from Laos. The two of the individuals have already been deported, while the third is in the process of being deported.

Authorities have intensified efforts to identify and take action against foreigners residing illegally in the country. In addition to responding to cases submitted through Immigration Watch, the agency conducts regular raids and independent operations to curb illegal activities.
