Foreign Minister Dr Khaleel concludes India visit after Raisina Dialogue 2025

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Abdulla Khaleel, has concluded his official two-day visit to India, where he attended the Raisina Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi.
The Raisina Dialogue, held from March 17 to 19, featured New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon as the guest of honour.
As part of the event, Minister Dr Khaleel participated in the panel discussion titled "Climate Catechism: Adaptation Agenda is Gasping", where he highlighted the challenges posed by climate change and the need for strengthened financial assistance to small island nations to address these pressing issues.
During his visit, Dr Khaleel held discussions with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations between the Maldives and India. The two ministers also exchanged updates on ongoing projects supported by India in the Maldives and explored further development opportunities. Additionally, the Foreign Minister met with other senior dignitaries on the sidelines of the dialogue.
The Raisina Dialogue is an annual conference jointly organised by the Observer Research Foundation and India’s Ministry of External Affairs, serving as a key platform for discussions on global geopolitics and strategic affairs.
At the conclusion of his visit, Minister Dr Khaleel was seen off at Indira Gandhi International Airport by the High Commissioner of Maldives to India, Aishath Azeema, along with senior officials from India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
