Three Maldives Immigration employees have been arrested for allegedly exploiting foreign workers for personal gain.

The Maldives Police Service announced that they had received reports of immigration employees abusing their positions to obtain improper benefits from foreign nationals, prompting an official investigation.

On the night of March 20, 2025, officers conducted a search at a residence, leading to the arrest of three individuals.
