President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to working together with the public to ensure care, compassion, and support for children with special needs and their families.

The President made the remarks in a message shared via X, marking World Down Syndrome Day, observed annually on March 21.

In his message, President Dr Muizzu described Maldivians as a remarkable example of kindness and helpfulness, and emphasised that both the Government and the people will continue to work hand in hand to support every child and family in need of special care within the community.
