The Business Centre Corporation (BCC) has announced that Maldives Expo 2025 will include a dedicated district for people with special needs.
Speaking on MMTV’s Bodu Khabaru programme, BCC’s Financial Controller Hassan Gassan stated that while a separate space will be allocated, participants with special needs are also welcome to join the general exhibition areas. He emphasised that the application process will remain the same for all participants, without any distinction.
Gassan also noted that in addition to the Malé Business Centre, BCC operates 11 other centres across the atolls, including in atoll capitals and cities. He encouraged applicants to seek assistance from these regional centres to complete and submit their applications.
Meanwhile, Shazeela Hassan, Assistant Manager at the Kulhudhuffushi Business Centre, reminded the public that the application deadline is March 31. She confirmed that multiple items can be submitted by the same applicant, but stressed the importance of providing complete and accurate information in the application form. Details such as the name, scope, estimated price, and size of each item must be included.
Shazeela added that a well-prepared application, with clear and detailed product information, can significantly improve an applicant’s chances of winning awards during the expo.
Maldives Expo 2025 is scheduled to take place from May 23 to 31 at Central Park in Hulhumalé, and is expected to celebrate the work of Maldivian manufacturers, artisans, and entrepreneurs.
